Recite, Reflect & Act upon the Words of Allah ﷻ

وَمَن يَتَّقِ اللَّهَ يَجْعَل لَّهُ مَخْرَجًا
Wa man yattaqillaaha yaj’al lahu makhrajan
Whoever fears Allah — He will make for him a way out.
Surah At-Talaq 65:2
إِنَّ مَعَ الْعُسْرِ يُسْرًا
Inna ma’al ‘usri yusraa
Verily, with every difficulty comes ease.
Surah Ash-Sharh 94:6
وَلَا تَيْأَسُوا مِن رَّوْحِ اللَّهِ
Wa laa tay’asu mir rawhillah
And do not despair of the mercy of Allah.
Surah Yusuf 12:87
اللَّهُ نُورُ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ
Allaahu noorussamaawaati wal ardh
Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth.
Surah An-Nur 24:35

Bismillaahi wa ‘alaa barakatillaah
In the name of Allah and with the blessings of Allah, I begin eating.

Dua After Eating
الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَطْعَمَنَا وَسَقَانَا وَجَعَلَنَا مُسْلِمِينَ
Alhamdu lillaahil ladhee at’amanaa wa saqaanaa wa ja’alanaa muslimeen
All praise is to Allah who fed us, gave us drink and made us Muslims.

Dua Upon Waking Up
اَلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَحْيَانَا بَعْدَمَا أَمَاتَنَا وَإِلَيْهِ النُّشُورُ
Alhamdu lillaahil ladhee ahyaanaa ba’da maa amaatanaa wa ilayhin nushoor
All praise to Allah who gave us life after causing us to die, and unto Him is the Resurrection.

بِاسْمِكَ اللَّهُمَّ أَمُوتُ وَأَحْيَا
Bismika Allaahumma amootu wa ahyaa
In Your Name, O Allah, I die and I live.

Dua Entering the Home
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ وَلَجْنَا وَبِسْمِ اللَّهِ خَرَجْنَا وَعَلَى اللَّهِ رَبِّنَا تَوَكَّلْنَا
Bismillaahi walajna wa bismillaahi kharajnaa wa ‘alallaahi rabbinaa tawakkalnaa
In the name of Allah we enter, in His name we leave, and upon our Lord we place our trust.

Dua Leaving Home
بِسْمِ اللَّهِ تَوَكَّلْتُ عَلَى اللَّهِ وَلَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ
Bismillaahi tawakkaltu ‘alallaahi wa laa hawla wa laa quwwata illaa billaah
In the name of Allah, I place my trust in Allah, and there is no might nor power except with Allah.

اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ رَبِّي لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ خَلَقْتَنِي وَأَنَا عَبْدُكَ
Allaahumma anta rabbee laa ilaaha illaa anta khalaqtanee wa ana ‘abduk
O Allah, You are my Lord. There is no god but You. You created me and I am Your servant.

Hasbiyallaahu laa ilaaha illaa huwa ‘alayhi tawakkaltu wa huwa rabbul ‘arshil ‘azheem
Allah is sufficient for me. There is no god but He. In Him I put my trust. He is Lord of the Mighty Throne.

Istighfar — Seeking Forgiveness
أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ الْعَظِيمَ الَّذِي لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ الْحَيُّ الْقَيُّومُ وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْهِ
Astaghfirullahal ‘azeema alladhee laa ilaaha illaa huwal hayyul qayyoomu wa atoobu ilayh
I seek forgiveness from Allah the Mighty, Whom there is no deity except Him, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer, and I repent to Him.

اللَّهُمَّ عَافِنِي فِي بَدَنِي وَعَافِنِي فِي سَمْعِي وَعَافِنِي فِي بَصَرِي
Allaahumma ‘aafinee fee badanee wa ‘aafinee fee sam’ee wa ‘aafinee fee basaree
O Allah, grant my body health, grant my hearing health, and grant my sight health.

Darood Ibrahim — Salawat
اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى آلِ مُحَمَّدٍ كَمَا صَلَّيْتَ عَلَى إِبْرَاهِيمَ
Allaahumma salli ‘alaa Muhammadin wa ‘alaa aali Muhammadin kamaa sallayta ‘alaa Ibraaheem
O Allah, send blessings upon Muhammad and the family of Muhammad, as You sent blessings upon Ibrahim.

Dua Entering the Masjid
اللَّهُمَّ افْتَحْ لِي أَبْوَابَ رَحْمَتِكَ
Allaahumma iftah lee abwaaba rahmatik
O Allah, open the gates of Your mercy for me.

اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ
Allaahumma innee as’aluka min fadlik
O Allah, I ask of You from Your grace and bounty.

رَّبِّ زِدْنِي عِلْمًا
Rabbi zidnee ‘ilmaa
My Lord, increase me in knowledge. (Surah Ta-Ha 20:114)

رَّبِّ ارْحَمْهُمَا كَمَا رَبَّيَانِي صَغِيرًا
Rabbir hamhumaa kamaa rabbayaanee sagheeraa
My Lord, have mercy on them both as they nurtured me when I was young.

رَبَّنَا آتِنَا فِي الدُّنْيَا حَسَنَةً وَفِي الْآخِرَةِ حَسَنَةً وَقِنَا عَذَابَ النَّارِ
Rabbanaa aatinaa fid dunyaa hasanatan wa fil aakhirati hasanatan wa qinaa ‘adhaaban naar

Allaahumma innaka ‘afuwwun tuhibbul ‘afwa fa’fu ‘annee
O Allah, You are the Pardoner and You love to pardon, so pardon me. (Night of Power Dua)

Dua of Prophet Yunus (In Difficulty)
لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ سُبْحَانَكَ إِنِّي كُنتُ مِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ
Laa ilaaha illaa anta subhaanaka innee kuntu minazh zhaalimeen
There is no deity except You; exalted are You. Indeed, I have been of the wrongdoers.

Dua for Rizq & Sustenance
اللَّهُمَّ اكْفِنِي بِحَلَالِكَ عَنْ حَرَامِكَ وَأَغْنِنِي بِفَضْلِكَ عَمَّنْ سِوَاكَ
Allaahumak finee bihalaalika ‘an haraamika wa aghnin bee fadhlika ‘amman siwaak
O Allah, suffice me with what You have allowed instead of the forbidden, and make me independent of all others besides You.

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الَّذِي لَا يَضُرُّ مَعَ اسْمِهِ شَيْءٌ فِي الْأَرْضِ وَلَا فِي السَّمَاءِ وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ
Bismillaahil ladhee laa yadurru ma’asmihi shay’un fil ardhi wa laa fis samaa’i wa huwas samee’ul ‘aleem
In the name of Allah with Whose name nothing can harm on earth or in heaven, and He is the All-Hearing, All-Knowing. (Recite 3× morning & evening)

الصدقة والزكاة — طهّر مالك
Purify Your Wealth — Earn Rewards in This World and the Hereafter

Sadqa Jariyah

Ongoing charity that continues to reward you even after death. Build a well, plant a tree, fund an Islamic school. “When a person dies, all their deeds end except three: ongoing charity, beneficial knowledge, and a righteous child who prays for them.” — Prophet ﷺ

Zakat — 3rd Pillar of Islam

2.5% of your total savings given annually to the eligible poor. Obligatory on every adult Muslim who has possessed Nisab for one full lunar year. Zakat purifies wealth and uplifts the Ummah.

Sadqa in Ramzan

The Prophet ﷺ was most generous in Ramzan. Charity given in this blessed month is multiplied 70× or more. Feed a fasting person their Iftar and receive the same reward as their fast without reducing theirs.

Fidya & Kaffarah

Fidya compensates for fasts that cannot be made up due to permanent illness — feed one poor person per missed day. Kaffarah is expiation for deliberately breaking an obligatory fast. Both are forms of sadqa that help those in need.

Non-Monetary Sadqa

“Every act of goodness is sadqa.” A smile, removing harm from a path, kind words, teaching someone Quran — all are sadqa. The Prophet ﷺ said: “Even meeting your brother with a cheerful face is sadqa.”

Where to Give Sadqa

Support: Islamic education, orphan sponsorship, water wells in Africa & Asia, mosque construction, food packs for the poor during Ramzan, disaster relief. Give regularly — even if it is a small amount. Consistency is beloved to Allah.

The Month of Fasting, Quran, Taraweeh, Laylatul Qadr & Eid

Welcome Ramzan 1447 AH

The holiest month in the Islamic calendar. The Holy Quran was first revealed in this sacred month. Fasting (Sawm) is the Fourth Pillar of Islam — obligatory on every able-bodied adult Muslim.

Days of Fasting

Fast from Fajr (pre-dawn) to Maghrib (sunset). Abstain from food, drink, intimate relations, and sins. Increase Quran recitation, dhikr, salah and charity throughout the blessed days.

Rakats of Taraweeh

Special nightly prayers performed after Isha throughout Ramzan. The full Quran is completed over 29–30 nights. Broadcast live every night from Makkah and Madina for Muslims worldwide.

Last Ten Nights — I’tikaf

The final 10 nights of Ramzan are the most virtuous. The Prophet ﷺ would seclude himself in the mosque, increasing worship. Seek Laylatul Qadr — better than a thousand months of worship.

Celebrate on the 1st of Shawwal after completing Ramzan. Pay Fitrana (Sadaqatul Fitr) before Eid Salah. Pray 2 Rakats of Eid prayer, make takbir, spend the blessed day with family and loved ones.
